Federal Government Begin Construction Of Road To Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Home Town.

The federal government on Saturday flagged off the reconstruction of the Mayo Belwa Ganye Jada Toungo road that was abandoned for over twenty-two years.

Jada is the hometown of the Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. The minister for power, works and housing Mustapha Baba Shehuri represented the minister of power, works and Housing Babatunde Fashola.

The minister of state for power, works and housing revealed that the federal executive council (FEC) had in June 2018 approved the contract of the mayo Belwa Ganye Jada Toungo axis.

The secretary to the government of the federation boss Mustapha recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari, back in 1996, under the supervision of the petroleum trust fund, PTF allocated the Mayo Belwa Ganye -Jada Toungo road. Boss Mustapha beckoned on the people to support President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019, restating that every good term deserves support.

Lauding his efforts, the member of the constituency in the House of Representatives Abdurazak Namdas revealed the pressure he mounted on the ministry of power works and housing in ensuring that the road was reflected in the 2018 budget. Namdas decried the challenges experienced on the Mayo-Belwa Ganye-Jada Toungo axis.

On his part, the Adamawa state Governor Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow applauded the efforts of relevant stakeholders in making the project a reality.
